About

Francesca Pease is an artist based in Cornwall. Her practice centres on psychiatric illness, working across drawing, printmaking and installation. Engaging with themes of relationality, representation and embodiment, she invites reflection on the complexities of illness and trauma while examining structures shaped by control, observation and authority.

Driven by material experimentation, her practice explores the entanglement of play and vulnerability, order and disorder. Through this, she interrogates systems of restriction, normalisation, and bureaucracy, seeking to open space for expanded understandings of illness.

She is interested in the intersection of art and medicine, exploring the many subjective facets of health, contributing to the field of medical humanities.
